Most of the world is struck by enchantment, beauty, and a pretty face; but these things last only for a little while. Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting. The virtuous cowgirl understands Peter's words:
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:3-4
She may be beautiful and a sight to behold, but that is now where she places her value. She doesn't show herself off to the world. She leads a quiet life and lets her actions speak for her.
This doesn't mean that she hides her beauty, for it is given by God, but she doesn't put it on display. I remember watching the movie "She's All That" in the late 90's where one of the popular boys in the school takes on a bet to make a homely girl in the school the prom queen. He started out all with selfish motives, but as he got to know the girl he saw her for who she was. In the first part of the movie I couldnt stand the guy, but as he transformed he became more likeable. His apperance never changed, but he became more attractive, not by his physical looks, but by his attitude and demenor. That is how it is with the virtuous cowgirl.
All men understand the value of a worman of virtue and they tip their hats to it. There are a a few out there that do not, but they are not men, they are just males. There is a huge difference in man vs. male, just as there is a difference between a girl and a woman of virtue. Know the difference.
